ETIQUETTE FOR RENEGADES

1. Do whatever you want before class--chat loudly with a friend, talk on the phone, surf the web...whatever. Just know that if you do much other than sit in silent meditation, stretch quietly or whisper to a friend, some people will think you're an ass. But hey, if you're good with that...then so are we.

2. Enter and leave class whenever you want. However, if you make much disturbance in doing so (such as by flapping/spraying/cleaning your mat during savasana), you might get some ugly looks. Just so long as you're good with that.

3. Bring whatever you want to your mat--bottles, cell phones, food, etc. Just know that your instructor, who must then walk a mine field to move about the room, probably thinks you're an ass. If you're not good with that, then consider leaving everything other than a towel and/or required props in a cubby or in the back of the room.

4. No shoes on the yoga floor, please.  Just don't.  Thank you.
