Ethan Brewer

Ethan Brewer, local entrepreneur and owner of hairpeace since 1996, came to yoga with aches, pains, and plenty of stress after 20+ years in the service industry as a busy hairstylist and salon manager. His first yoga teacher landed in his styling chair as a salon guest at a very critical time in his career. Ethan
had very specific requests such as learning to control stress and mental fluctuations using the breath, while looking for a therapeutic approach to pain management and strengthening the body. This journey sparked a hunger to learn more, and Ethan completed his first 200-hour yoga training at Nosara Yoga
Institute in Costa Rica in January of 2014. His awakening transformed an occasional practice into a new
way of experiencing and living life. His new passion for yoga (and Costa Rica’s excellent surfing!) led to additional trainings, while continually fending off requests to teach yoga publicly. By March of 2018 Ethan had completed well over 500 hours of yoga training, vowing at graduation that he would not pass
another chance to share the practice he had come to love with others. That request came very shortly after, and Ethan has been teaching Yin Yoga and Power Flow at Renegade since June. Enjoy his midweek
relaxing Yin yoga 7:30 every Wednesday evening, and watch for him to pop up on the schedule teaching Power Yoga as needed.

Ethan Brewer instructs the following:
  • Yin Yoga
  • Delicious Yin.  Starting with warming the body with movement through a series of asanas connected by the breath.  Yin yoga is a relaxing, and recuperative practice.  Intended to leave you feeling warm, stretched, softened, and relaxed.  Better.

  • Power Flow
  • Power Flow is an all levels vigorous practice that combines classical twists, binds, folds, inversions, and arm balances with breath awareness, allowing the practitioner to maximize their fullest potential spiritually and physically. Participants can expect mindful hands-on adjustments and assists as the instructor compassionately guides participants to their unique edge.

  • Vinyasa
  • Vinyasa Yoga, in which movement is synchronized to the breath, is a term that covers a broad range of yoga styles. Also known as flow yoga, because of the smooth way that the poses run together and become like a dance.

In this 75 minute class, we will flow through dynamic asana and movement. This class is a mixed level yoga class that works with your senses to align, heighten awareness, and develop a fluid connection between spirit and form.  Strength and conditioning movements are weaved into the flow, to increase the heart rate and strengthen and tone the body.  The playlist will be fun, the flow will be creative, and the vibes will be uplifting.
